Caroline is a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with people to support change. She brings commitment, compassion, authenticity and curiosity to develop a shared understanding with the client of their current issues, events that have led them to seeking help and strategies for moving forward. She sees recovery as not purely symptom reduction but the rediscovering of meaning and purpose again - becoming human. She is passionate in treating trauma, including PTSD, survivors of sexual abuse and family violence, and individuals struggling with the effects of attachment trauma. She supports clients of CALD backgrounds, including refugees and asylum seekers. She has experience in working with First Nation people, the traditional owners of our land, and understands the complexities of intergenerational trauma. She espouses openness, and supports LGBTQIA+ clients.
Caroline uses a strengths-based approach, focused on optimism and helping the client to use the skills they already have. Humour and warmth are necessary ingredients.
Caroline completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at University of Wollongong, and is a recipient of the Freestone Clinical Psychology, this for excellence in clinical work. She continues to learn and grow with an interest in various treatment modalities for trauma.
When Caroline is not at the practice, you might find her walking up one of the local mountains, standing near her favourite tree or down by the beach.
Ella is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who is passionate about supporting adolescents, adults and families to find meaning and healing, beyond symptom reduction. She prioritises authenticity, respect, and fostering a sense of safety in therapy. She takes a strengths-based approach and is committed to empowering people to identify and harness their own resilience and expertise with an unwavering sense of hope and curiosity.
Ella understands that the therapy room can be intimidating for many, particularly those who have faced institutional discrimination or harm, and works to break down the power imbalance in the therapy room through a commitment to transparency and a collaborative approach. She takes a person-centred, decolonising and social justice perspective to therapy and will prioritise what you want to explore in sessions and who you would like to be in attendance.
Drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches, such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family systems work, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Ella enjoys helping all people with a wide range of difficulties and diagnoses. She is particularly interested in working with people struggling with the lifechanging impacts of trauma, including family and sexual violence, abuse, neglect, and relational difficulties. Ella has experience with and is particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ people and First Nations people.
Ella completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Swinburne University, a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology) (Honours) at Charles Sturt University and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Wollongong.
